Online Poker Charity & Affiliate Awards

Something pretty special is happening this week at both Chipleader brands. Over at Absolute Poker and UB.com, the first Second Sundays charity poker tournament kicks off. The tourney costs just $10 (there’s no tournament fee for this one) and the prize pool contains $1,075 in tournament entries PLUS a pretty cool bonus prize of a killer pair of Monster Jamz earphones for first place.

What makes the online poker tournament so special? Well, if you haven’t heard of Second Sundays, it’s a new charity tournament that happens on the second Sunday of every month. Each month, the buy-ins will be donated to a different charity. This month, the San Antonio AIDS Foundation gets the money. Tell your players with a heart to head over to Absolute Poker and UB.com and play for a good cause.

So at Chipleader, we’re constantly asking ourselves what affiliates really want. Over the past few years, we’ve come up with some pretty cool prizes to thank you guys for being a part of our program. Super Bowl tickets, use of a private jet, trips to Argentina and Costa Rica, and all kinds of other stuff round out the list of amazing prizes we’ve handed out.

As we get closer to the world’s biggest poker tournament, we all sat down and took a closer look at what we’re all doing here. We exist because we love poker more than anything. And you guys exist because 1) you love poker more than anything else and 2) you love making money from people who love poker as much as you do.

Online poker players are passionate about two things: Online Poker and land-based poker. For online poker, we’re obviously all about Absolute Poker and UB, the two brands we represent. But for land-based events, there’s one event that every poker player dreams of taking down.

That event is the WSOP and this year we’re giving out two WSOP packages to the top performing affiliates. These are packages that you can use to give away to your players any way you choose. Use the package as a promotional tool to attract new players. Or reward your top players. It’s all up to you.
