Don’t just play with Hellmuth. Beat him.
May 15, 2009
Love him or hate him, it’s everyone’s dream to play poker against Phil Hellmuth. After all, the only thing better than seeing a grown man cry is being the one who actually made him throw that tantrum.
Well your players are in luck all month long because every Tuesday in May, Phil Hellmuth will be playing in a $30+3 No Limit Hold’em online poker tournament at 9:30pm ET. It’s call the Beat the Brat tourney and the player who takes down the Poker Brat will win a seat in UltimateBet’s 50-seat WSOP Guaranteed tourney on June 21st. More details: http://www.ultimatebet.com/poker-promotion/beat-the-brat
That’s a pretty big deal. At least 50 players will walk away with a $12k prize package that includes a seat in the Main Event and a few thousand for travel and accommodations. Right now, over 80 players have won their way to Vegas through UB so that means assuming nobody else wins a seat between now and June, there will be over 130 UB players in Vegas for the Main Event.
But chances are that number will be much, much higher. That’s because aside from June 21st’s 50-seat guaranteed tourney, the online poker site offers your players multiple ways to win a spot in the Main Event through STEP tournaments that go down every day and weekly Super Satellites.
And the best part about winning a trip to Vegas through UltimateBet? Your players will get to hang with Hellmuth, even if they’re the one who made him cry on a random Tuesday in May.
UltimateBet Launches Celebrity Apprentice Tournament Series!
May 12, 2009
UltimateBet is proud to Congratulate our very own online poker icon Annie Duke for finishing second on Celebrity Apprentice! She lost to Joan Rivers in the Season Final. She exposed herself out there for charity and even personal attacks, yet never gave up.
The setting of the live three hour Celebrity Apprentice finale was the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. The competition began on March 1st with 16 contestants, eight men and eight women. Ten weeks later, Annie comes out as the runner-up. Annie battled her way into the final two with strategy, initiative, and charitable friends. She consistently raised more money in the challenges on the show, thanks mainly to her poker pro friends. Annie Duke raised about $450,000 in comparison to Rivers’ $150,000 for charity.
The great exposure Annie gave poker to a whole new adudience is priceless. Now UltimateBet is aiming to take full advantage of Duke’s performance and exposure, each Sunday at 10 pm ET players will be able to qualify for the Apprentice Challenge Main Event by playing in the weekly qualifier. Qualifiers will run for the next 11 weeks until May 17.
Each Sunday’s satellite tournament has a 500 UltimatePoint buy-in with at least one seat guaranteed to the Apprentice Challenge Main Event on May 17. There are also a number of daily qualifiers that will award seats to the weekly Sunday night satellite.
The winner of the Main Event will be awarded a $8,500 prize package which includes a seat to the 2009 UltimateBet Aruba Poker Classic. The next four finishers will be awarded a $100,000 Deep Stack entry ($320 value) and sixth through tenth place will each receive an entry to the $40,000 Sniper Saturday ($130 value).
“I’m thrilled that UB has put together a promotion allowing their players to play along with me on my Apprentice journey,” said Duke. ”I’m looking forward to spending some one-on-one time with the winner in Aruba 2009.”

Let your players in on a poker empire
May 8, 2009
The World Series of Poker is always an amazing experience. I mean, what’s not to like? You’ve got some of the world’s most recognizable poker pros going head-to-head with Vegas newbies who’ve never set foot inside a land-based casino before. That’s the beauty of the game. And that’s why I love it. For next to nothing, anybody, anywhere, can hop online and win their way to Vegas to play with giants with a real chance at crushing them.
There’s no better place to do it than at UltimateBet. The online poker site is building a Texas Hold’em empire in Vegas and they want to fill it with your players in a way that won’t even cost them a quarter.
For just a dime, online poker players can grab a World Series of Poker Main Event seat and money to get there and stay there for as little as 10 cents through UB’s STEP tournament. I know, I know. Just 10 cents. Crazy. That’s why promoting UB to your cost-conscious players is such a good idea. When they find out that they can win a trip to Vegas for about a tenth of the cost of a cheap cup of coffee, they won’t want to play anywhere else. As an affiliate, that means higher profits for you.
Your players can also snag a Main Event seat through weekly Super Satellites and the online poker site’s 50-seat WSOP Guarantee on June 21st. So spread the word to your players, new and old, and watch the money roll in.
