Sin City Baby!

Hi All!

It’s almost Friday… which means weekend fun but it also means one day closer to Vegas, HOORAY! I wanted to let you all know I’ll be in Sin City from June 29th – July 12th and if any of you would like to meet up for a chat and go over anything let me know, even if it’s just for small talk and a cup O Joe! This is my first land based event so I’m quite excited! There is so much going on at Chipleader right now and it’s always beneficial to go over all of the juicy details in person. We’ve got our Affiliate appreciation trip coming up … destination Argentina! This trip is going to be insane, you can ask anyone that attended the Affiliate appreciation in Costa Rica last year, we all had a ridiculously good time. Keep in mind that there is still time to get involved in this promotion! Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet Finally Mac Compatible

Finally… Absolute Poker and Ultimate Poker will be compatible with Mac. This will be a downloadable version of the Absolute Poker and Ultimate Poker clients.

The first release is scheduled for a June release. This will contain all Holdem, Omaha, 7 Stud and Razz games with all limits, 1-on-1, 4 max, 6 max and 9 max. Including SitNGos and multi tournaments.

What does this mean for all you affiliates? It means more market share for Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet. For all affiliates these next few quarters could be very profitable with the right marketing message to all the new potential MAC (users) players.

On June 21st, 50 of your players could be going to WSOP(*)

I freakin’ love Vegas. I’ve ventured there for way too many bachelor parties for my liver to keep up with, but each time the plane nears touchdown at McCarran International Airport, I get chills seeing all the huge and impressive-looking hotels like Luxor, Bellagio, Wynn, Caesars, the Rio, and Paris.

But this summer, the hotels & casinos won’t be the most memorable thing you’ll see if you venture to Sin City. It’s safe to say that an abundance of UB logos will make the hotels seem like a fairly insignificant part of the Vegas Strip.

That’s because of the ridiculous number of UltimateBet players already slated to head to Vegas for the WSOP(*) – a number that’s about to get even bigger.

UltimateBet is preparing something huge in Vegas this year. Actually, huge is the understatement of the millennium. They’re calling it epic and we can totally see why. Go to their website right now. You’ll quickly see that so far, as of this post, almost 100 players have won a WSOP(*) Main Event seat by playing online poker at UB. And it’s still May.

That number’s about to grow by leaps and bounds on June 21st. UltimateBet is holding a 50-seat WSOP(*) Guaranteed Texas Hold’em tourney that promises to pay out, you guessed it, at least 50 World Series of Poker seats and lots of cash for travel and accommodations. And with more players in the tournament, more packages could be handed out.

So with lots of time between now and June 21st and a number of easy ways for online poker players to win their World Series seat pretty much every day, it’s safe to say that there will be a few hundred UB players storming through the Rio at the WSOP(*). That’s gonna be a lot of black and gold in Vegas. Hopefully Sin City is ready for it.

The proposition of giving away 50 seats in just a few hours is pretty unreal. Affiliates who throw the UB banner on their site to promote the chipstack out of this thing will find it easy to bring in new players and increase their profits. So do it now and make your way to Vegas to see how your players do – all 50 of them.

The creation of the Iguazu falls. The real story.

So there was this serpent god who wanted to marry the beautiful Naipi. Naipi wasn’t too sure about a love affair with a god, well, you know how gods can be, right? And if you think about it, he didn’t really know her; he was more attracted to her than anything else… Naipi, on the other hand was having a great time with Taruba, her warrior boyfriend, he was strong and handsome, and very sensitive of course. When M’Boi, the god, realized that those two wanted to run away he was so mad that he forced the earth to split, creating the falls. Then, he turned her into a rock so she couldn’t run away and he was turned into a palm tree. She is in the Argentinean side of the falls and he is in the Brazilian side so they would never touch again. As you can see this god is not somebody you would like to play with… Let’s just hope that he won’t fall in love with somebody in the Chipleader group. We can’t be held responsible for changes to one of the possible next 7 wonders of the world.

Moving Forward

Hi Everybody, I’m Diana Hunt and I’ll be updating the Chipleader Blog with product updates. Not only enhancements to the Chipleader product but also updates in the Poker Room, changes to our Deposit Center and any other interesting product tips involving Chipleader, Absolute Poker and Ultimatebet poker.
In the last few months we have been doing many enhancements on the Chipleader DB architecture. This is to ensure sure prompt reporting. And the enhancements won’t stop there; in the next few months Chipleader will be enhanced to include tracking code management, faster affiliate payments, easy to read reporting including better tracking of player activity, auto rakeback payments and reporting, many more exciting features.
Every Monday we will update on the new features that are currently in development for Chipleader and in addition we will add product updates in Poker Room, Security and any changes to our deposit and withdrawal methods.

Although in the end you prove to be the most talented player in history, you do not lose anything by starting down. Playing low limit tables or freeroll tournaments is a good way to gain experience without taking too many risks. Micro limit tables are usually complicated and the bluffs do not have much value, because everybody can pay your bet.

Select starting hands

The two cards you have on your hand (hole cards) is the only thing that differentiates your hand from the hands of the other players … learn how to take advantage is crucial. DISCIPLINE. Play good hands and forget the bad Hands.

Play according to your position

Sitting on the button “is a great advantage because you can see the movements of all your opponents before you make yours. If you want to be a good player you must understand the importance of the position. A hand that should be excluded from the starting hands can be played from the button if circumstances permit.

Retire

Forget about betting, if you have nothing in your hand and not have a project retire. It is as simple as that.

Be careful when you are winning to much !!!!!

Even if you have been the best play chips player over time, it has little to do with the real game. Change your behavior, change the logic … it’s another game. Do not believe it. But perhaps if you’re ready for the low limit tables, so start there.

Has it been 20 years?

Wow. It’s been two decades since the greatest poker player of all time made his first mark. On May 18th, 1989, UltimateBet’s very own Phil Hellmuth won his very first WSOP(*) bracelet, beating 2-time World Champion Johnny Chan.

AAC – Amsterdam Affiliate Conference 2009

Well hands down AAC (CAP EURO ) was a hit! I really do believe that we had a surprising gathering of new upcoming affiliate stars… the traffic was deceiving but the company that the Chipleader booth had was excellent.

I had an opportunity to meet with some of my affiliates (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) and really sit down and hash out any outstanding nonsense and talk about upcoming exciting shenanigans that we have to look forward to! Unfortunately I missed out on a wonderful dinner with the lovely Herb Jenkins from Raketracker.com… I had a mini case of the oink flu, thankfully it only lasted about 24 hours. Thanks to the stellar care of Diana Hunt our Product Manager, Marcela Jarquin our lovely other Affiliate Manager, and the woman, the myth,  the legend Alex Gomez.

Alex actually only wanted to go to the conference because she heard through the grapevine that Beyonce was going to be in DAM! (J/K)… “all the single ladies all the single ladies!”.  That is actually rubbish!  Alex Gomez is a contact that any affiliate would want to have at Chipleader, she’s hard working, a trouble shooter, pretty much a machine!

I was very satisfied with the turn out at AAC, people were shaking hands and kissing babies all day long, and Chipleader as usual had the most happening booth! Marcela and I really do hope that more of you (our affiliates) venture to Budapest (BAC Budapest Affiliate Conference) http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/events/budapest/
