Absolute Poker MTT Leader Boards Promotion

Absolute Poker is leading the online poker industry in innovation yet agian with the announcement of its new MTT Leader Boards competition.  On September 1st, Absolute Poker will launch a new, improved, leaderboard competition which rewards outstanding play instead of ‘grind’ play.

Obviously, players who spend a lot of time at the tables have a good chance of making a mark on the leaderboards, but our new scoring algorithm really rewards players who make it to the final table.

 Here’s how it breaks down:  There are weekly and monthly leaderboards for both MTT and Sit&Go players.  There is also an annual prize for the best MTT players.  They have also divided the Sit&Go leaderboards into three classes to ensure that everyone gets the chance to really cash in.  The prizes are divided as follows:

-Weekly
Finish 1st in the weekly MTT leader board competition and get the chance to play against one the AP Pro’s for a $1,000 prize pool.  If youwin the pot is yours, if you lose the pot gets rolled over and added to the following weeks $1,000 pot until someone beats a pro.

-Monthly
The top 50 players every month get a share of a $10,000 prize pool.
The top 100 players every month get a free entry into a $20,000 TLB Free Roll.

-Yearly
The top 3 players will earn the following prizes:
1st – $5,000
2nd – $3,000
3rd - $2,000

The yearly top 100 players will also be invited to a $20,000 Free Roll that pays out the top 27 places.
